Codependent if you think the opinion of others about you overly important, even more important than your own opinion of yourself, you do then everything to the mind, to control feelings and actions of the other person and what you are trying to control, check you and then you are again a victim of your own war.

Je eigen beste vriend zijn of ‘trouwen met jezelf’ zoals ik het ook wel eens genoemd heb, impliceert ook het inzicht van dat wij ‘twee’ zijn, de waarnemer en de ‘ik’ (het ego) die denkt dat ie ‘ik’ is en zich identificeert met alles wat ie meemaakt. De waarnemer staat daarboven, is je grotere zelf. Die ontfermt zich met alle liefde over ons ‘ikje’…
Leuk bedacht dat trouwen met jezelf, we zijn echter denk ik met nog wel meer dan twee, met een veelheid aan subpersoonlijkheden, zie daarvoor bij intradependentie
